meet Rob

Hi I’m Rob and I'm from Yorkshire in the north of England. I've been teaching around the world since 2011. I have a passion for sports, science, psychology, travel and of course teaching English! I'm constantly trying to discover new ways, methods and appraoches to my work. In my classes you can expect to find lots of communication, teamwork activities and most importantly creativity and fun! The biggest part of my job is giving all my students the confidence to express themselves in English and have a good time doing it. Hope to see you in one of my classes soon!"

meet Jenny

Hi, I'm Jenny and I'm from Ireland. I'll tell you a little about me. My first teaching job was in a secondary school in Thailand back in 2011. After that I decided I wanted to be a little closer to home. So, I moved to Valencia with Rob and trained for a Cambridge Teaching Certificate. Eventually we ended up here in Igualada and after working here for 2 years, we decided to set up our own school. I have two degrees, one in Management and one in Architecture, but in the end I got more enjoyment and satisfaction from teaching than with any other job.  I love art, architecture and design, traveling, cooking and gastronomy. My classes are really relaxed and my objective is to ultimately help my students to speak and  think in English. For special days, I incorporate my love for art, crafts, and food into the classes. I try to adapt my classes for each of my many different groups, which allows them to be flexible and dynamic.

meet Laura

Hi, I'm Laura! I'm the latest addition to the Eng Igualada team. I'm from Castelloli but I spent 5 years living in Chicago in the U.S, where I studied for a degree in psychology. After secondary school,  I was given a scholarship to go to Chicago to play basketball and study my college degree there. I chose psychology because I love helping people. When I turned 22 I got my degree and I moved back home. I ended up getting a job teaching English and continued to play basketball which is still important to me. Through my first job in teaching, I realized that I really liked it. I found that I could make use of my psychology knowledge in the classroom too and do what I've always wanted to do which is to help people.
My classes are always energetic and fun. Having been in their shoes, I feel I can relate to English language learners and guide them on the journey that I was once on myself.
