Our Kids classes are for children from 5 to 12 and teens from 13 - 17 years of age. We use our own method of teaching which varies depending on the age of the kids. Have look at each stage of the learning process at ENG below.
Our teen classes are more focused on refining the basics of English Grammar & building a higher level of Vocabulary knowledge with the end goal being a Cambridge B2 qualification.
Kids LUNCHTIME classes including pick up & drop off at school between 12.00 - 15.00 depending on school - Only available at: Ateneu Igualadi, Garcia Fossas, Monalco, Escola Pia, Escolapies & Emili Valles (while in the town centre) More Info.
We have very limited places for the Lunchtime groups so we have a waiting list for any free places we get in the future.
Absorbers
STAGE 1 : UNDERSTANDING (5 -7 years)
In the first stage of the Eng Kids program, new learners start to experience their world in English by simulating experiences similar to everyday life. Absorbers start to comprehend essential vocabulary and basic grammatical structures in addition to e a bond with their teacher
Collectors
STAGE 2 : GATHERING (7 - 9 years)
Having become accustomed to their English environment, young learners are able to start collecting the language with more ease. During this stage a base of vocabulary is built in preparation for the structuring stage of the program
Developers
STAGE 3 : STRUCTURING (9 - 11 years)
With an initial core base of vocabulary, stage 3 of the Eng Kids program starts to focus on the structure of the English Language. Young learners start to see how their base vocabulary connects with core grammatical concepts such as tenses, modal verbs, and conditionals.. In this stage learners start to solidify the foundations of the English language.
Builders
STAGE 4 : BUILDING (11 - 13 years)
In stage 4 of the Eng Kids program, learners are starting to construct and produce language using their base knowledge of Grammar & Vocabulary. Learners now focus on constructing language on a wide range of familiar topics. Grammar and vocabulary knowledge is extended to reach a higher level of understanding and more independence using the language.
Designers
STAGE 5 : EXPRESSING (13 - 15 years)
In the final year of the of the ENG Kids program, learners are expected to be able to express themselves confidently and quite independently in the English language. With the previous stages completed, our students are now prepared to communicate with the rest of the world using the English we have designed together.
Exams
STAGE 6 : PREPARING for the B2 FIRST (15 - 17 years)
Now that they have confidence and knowledge, it is time to fine tune their skills by moving on to an academic level. Cambridge exams are the most reliable & prestigious English language exams. Passing the B2 First exam shows that they can use the language independently, communicate with fluency, interact with native speakers and express strong reading and writing skills in English. It prepares them for every kind of future
involving English.
Grounding
Learners often arrive from different environments. We start the class with a short grounding phase. During this phase students do a grounding activity such as a game, a speaking activity, or simply a chat about their week. Once they are all on the same wavelength, we can begin the lesson.
Activation
In the activation phase, core language skills and vocabulary are introduced and developed. We use a variety of learning tasks in order to motivate, stimulate, and enhance the learning process.. This is the main element of the lesson. We don't use books, instead we have our own material, exercises and activities most of which have been exclusively created by us.
Digitalisation
Digitalisation is the second part of the lesson and offers an interactive and engaging learning experience where the main lesson element is gamified using technology, so that students can reinforce what they have just learned in a fun and engaging way. We have built a huge collection of our own online games which target the specific lesson of each class.
Re-grounding
Before the students leave class we like to bring them back down to a grounded state. We assign homework, gather our belongings and have another chat before they leave in a calm and happy state.
MPD
Monitoring Progress & Development
We value open and honest communication with the parents of our students. We send out completely individualised school reports in the middle of trimester 1 & 2 and then at the end of the course. The reports are written by the teacher and one of the directors of the school. In it, we make our observations on the students progress, their behaviour and generally how they are getting on in the group plus any recommendations. We don't hold parent-teacher meetings unless there is a problem or of course if it is requested by a parent. Homework is given to students 3/4 times a month and is part of continuous assessment. For the younger kids, it is highly recommended that homework be done together with the parent. At this age, reinforcement at home is a vital part of the learning process and accelerates the development of the student.
ENG KIDS LUNCHTIME
We offer a LUNCHTIME service for the full 2 or 2 and a half hours during the midday school break
It consists of pick up & walk to ENG IGUALADA school, lunch break, relax and 1 or 1 and a half hours of English class before being dropped off at the school in time for afternoon classes
The LUNCHTIME service is only being offered to primary schools which are within a 10 - 15 minute walking zone from our school: Monalco, Ateneu Igualadi, Escolapies Igualada, Escola Pia and Escola Garcia Fossas (& Emili Valles 2026-2027)
Times vary depending on the individual schools. Gernerally Lunchtime is 2 hours but can be 2 and a half hours if all parents of the group want it to be. There is a 10% discount on the normal price. Please contact us for more information
Why it's a good idea
Kids get 2 or 2 and a half hours of constant and real interaction in English every week
It can give some parents a day off from the lunctime routine once a week
There’s a maximum of 4 kids in every group so we can give each the child attention they need
These small groups of 4 form a close bond where kids feel safe and happy to learn English
It allows kids to be free in the afternoons to do other extracurricular activities or to go home
Waiting list
We only have two classrooms at our school which means we have a maximum capacity of 8 kids (2 groups) each day.
There are only 28 places available this year 2026 - 2027 and we currently have 27 students for our lunchtime groups.
There will be a waiting list system in place for those who are unsuccessful in securing a place for September 2026.
In 2027 we plan on increasing availability to 40 places. We will hold meetings at our school for parents who are interested in meeting us and finding out more about the lunchtime classes

How it works
We interview kids and match them according to their level, availability and compatibility. When we find 4 students for a group, we then can confirm the group and reserve the hour. You can contact us here. We sometimes have free places in some of our groups wh we advertise on our Instagram page.
